Dr. Tilden is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Radiology and Neurology and Ophthalmology, serving the College of Osteopathic Medicine at MSU. In her role, she contributes to the gross anatomy course as well as the musculoskeletal, neurological, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems courses in a teaching capacity.

She additionally acts as a course director for the musculoskeletal system course and as the anatomy thread director for the college. Outside of the lecture hall, she teaches in both ultrasound and anatomy labs, serving as the Detroit site’s lab director and advisor to preclerkship and clerkship dissection elective students.

Dr. Tilden serves the college and greater community with her continued involvement with both pre-college programs and outreach events through the admissions team. At the university level, she serves on the faculty senate and the university council as a representative for the College of Osteopathic Medicine. Outside of MSU, Dr. Tilden volunteers her time to serve on local, state, and national committees and panels, supporting the success and innovation of future physicians and higher education professionals.

She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Specialization in Human Anatomy at Oakland University before attending Penn State College of Medicine for her doctoral training. Her research focus while obtaining her Doctor of Philosophy in Anatomy was using imaging modalities (fNIRs, fMRI) to identify specific brain activities and function in people living with substance use disorders. Her current research interests include anatomical variation.
